Coalition for a Better Future co-chair Lisa Raitt available for comment on budget day

The Honourable Lisa Raitt, co-chair of the Coalition for a Better Future, will be available for comment leading up to, and following the tabling of Budget 2023 in the House of Commons on Tuesday, March 28.

The Coalition represents a diverse and growing community of like-minded people and organizations in the private and not-for-profit sectors, unified in our belief that economic growth is necessary for job creation, rising incomes, a cleaner environment, and a better quality of life.

As our latest Scorecard report indicates, Canada is at a turning point. Using 21 internationally accepted metrics, the data shows economic growth in Canada has been stagnant for the past 15 years, and that Canada is falling behind its peers in terms of prosperity.  Budget 2023 is an opportunity for the government to develop a long-term plan for economic growth that is inclusive and sustainable to enhance the quality of life of Canadians for generations to come.
